Eukroma Cream includes Hydroquinone, which is utilized to lighten areas of highly pigmented skin, such as age spots, freckles, or acne scars, by reducing the production of the skin pigment melanin.
Eukroma Cream serves as a skin lightening agent to diminish the color of highly pigmented skin caused by excessive melanin production across various skin issues. This encompasses liver spots or age spots—also referred to as senile lentigine—that are prevalent in aging skin, alongside freckles, acne scars, and other unwanted skin discolorations. Eukroma Cream is additionally effective for treating melasma, which are dark patches on the face resulting from sun exposure, pregnancy, and contraceptive hormones.
Eukroma Cream contains Hydroquinone, a substance that inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme critical for melanin production, the pigment responsible for skin color. In Eukroma Cream, Hydroquinone reduces melanin production in the melanocytes (cells that produce melanin) while enhancing the breakdown of melanosomes that contain melanin. As melanin production diminishes, the darker skin gradually lightens to blend with the normal skin tone.
Patients using Eukroma Cream may experience side effects such as skin sensitivity or contact dermatitis, allergic reactions due to metabisulphite, and a potential buildup of blue-black pigment (exogenous ochronosis).
